NOTD Jun 20/12 - rhinestone strawberry

Strawberries on my nails! Finally! I've wanted to do it forever! But I wanted some blingy-bling on it, so the ring fingers have rhinestone seeds! And I mixed it up by making some of the strawberries pink. I'm in love with these!

NOTD Jun 17/12 - blue and yellow flowers on red

I wanted to do something bright and summery, especially since right now it's pouring rain and it's grey and dark. Whooo "June-uary"!

Lots of colours used... and honestly I'm too lazy to list them today. :| Sorry folks! You get the idea! LOL

FOTD Jun 16/12

I don't often go for looks where the lips are the focus, but for some reason today I found that confidence and I love how it turned out! I think the key for me to pulling off a bolder lip is having a bit of a tan (which believe it or not, here I do!). Too much contrast with my skin when it's pale doesn't work for me!

NOTD Jun 7/12 - mint and gold leopard

I realized that after you do nail art for quite a while, leopard print is like the easy go-to design. Like the equivalent of a normal, non-nail artist type doing a quick coat of red polish or something. For nail art junkies, it's a quick leopard print mani when you just want to rock out some nail art but don't have inspiration for anything more complex or just can't be bothered this time!

Nevertheless, I love this mani even if it was just a "quickie"! It's a colour combo I see a lot and really like so I wanted to do it too, and I love the accent nail!

Four new sets on Etsy!

Hey everyone! I've been working on these sets over the last while, and I've got all four of them up new in my Etsy shop! Some of you may recognize a couple of these designs, a couple are new though!

My stud design I did on my nails around a week ago! I thought it would be awesome on a set since it got such a good response. :) Now it can be yours!

Another favourite of mine I did on my own nails, the yellow with pink roses!

A skittles set of candy colours with leopard print and little bits of iridescent glitter! Cute for summer :)

Inspired by Disney's Alice in Wonderland, painting the roses red nails! Marrying my love of this movie (and all things Alice) with my love of floral print nail art!

Check them all out along with the rest of my offerings! Thanks for looking! :)

NOTD Jun 3/12 - Diamond Jubilee

Hey everyone! I've been pretty happy to see how many people have been doing nails in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this week! For those who don't know, it is the 60 year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Although I'm not British, I am Canadian which makes her my Queen too! I've always been very interested in the royal family both past and present, and I find the Queen herself to be a really admirable and wonderful person! I saw a special about her on TV the other night and fell in love with her all over again! I knew I had to do a manicure for the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee.

Fairly simple in design, I'm so happy how it looks! It's very bright and striking... my bus driver even commented on them hehehe!

first Illamasqua polishes/I have an awesome boyfriend

Ever since Sephora got its beautiful new nail polish display, I've been eyeing up Illamasqua's polishes, wanting them... I may have mentioned it offhand at some point to my boyfriend, but honestly I talk so much about nail polish I'm sure most of it goes in one ear and out the other.

So imagine my surprise (and delight!) when I came home from work today, and found this sitting on top of my Helmers:

I daintily peeked inside tore the tissue out of the bag and inside were these lovelies!

TWO Illamasqua polishes plus a top coat!! Is my boyfriend amazing or is he amazing? He just popped out to Sephora (and he hates the mall, he wasn't just there to chill out) and bought me a random gift! Of nail polish! Really nice, great quality nail polish! Hell, I'd be happy if I came home to find a couple Wet n' Wilds waiting for me, but this was just beyond!

I knew I had to swatch them immediately, if not sooner, so here they are. The red colour is called Scarab and the green is called Viridian. Both were topped with the Sephora top coat!

Both gorgeous! The formula on these was lovely and easy to work with, these were each two coats. Thank you to my honey for the amazing present!
